Description
From the windswept summit of Mt. Lafayette looking back towards the snow covered peak of Mt. Lincoln, the scenic view goes on seemingly forever. The last of the late day light creating shadows on the beautifully texture snow.

more snow probably would have offered another beautiful capture for you jeff, but this one is beautiful in its own right. i love that the surface shows up just the right amount to really give us the viewer the feel of being on the peak. i do greatly enjoy this image. :) i bet you have many great stories to share about your journeys during the night to be ready for the morning sunrise photo ops.

Thanks! This was from my first visit to Franconia Ridge. I wish there was more snow, because in was in the single digits with 40-50 mph winds, so if it's going to feel like winter, it might as well look as wintery as possible :-D

So much depth, richness of colors, and powerful use of light. Great composition. l/v
