Starting out before sunrise on a warm autumn day I came upon this spectacular view looking down into Carrigain Notch. Awash in the vibrant colors of autumn the distant valley below. Soon after Capturng the images used for this panoramic image I summited Mount Carrigain. After enjoying lunch and taking in the views from the fire tower atop the mountain, I continued down the Desolation Trail which eventually led me to the Carrigain Notch trail, which meanders past the base of Vose Spur and Mount Lowell, the mountain in the distance with the vertical scars left by rock slides.

I'm a nature, landscape, and if I'm lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time also a wildlife photographer, based in Barrington, New Hampshire. The White Mountains and the rocky New Hampshire and southern Maine seacoast are my playgrounds.
